Dear Customer,

As one of our most valued customers, we want to communicate to you some exciting news regarding your relationship with American Trust Bank of East Tennessee.  We want you to know that we value your business and look forward to continuing to meet your financial needs in any way that we can.  This means that we will continue to provide the high quality service that you have come to expect from our Bank, and we would also like to have the opportunity to provide any other banking services that you may have now or in the future.

Our Board of Directors has changed some in the past few months.  First of all, I have been named Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO.  I am one of the organizers of the Bank and have served on the Board since the Bank’s inception in 2004.  I am very excited about the future for our Bank and the many opportunities that our Bank has for continued successful growth.  Second, we have also added two members to our Board of Directors which I would like to introduce.

Hal Bibee, Sr. is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) formerly with the Ernst & Ernst Accounting Firm. Hal is a UT graduate with a BS Degree in Accounting and has previously served on a national bank’s Board for 10 years. Currently Hal is involved in telecommunications consulting, engineering and construction.  We are pleased to announce this addition to our Board and know that his contributions will prove to be very beneficial.

C. Doug Irwin is in the real estate development business and is involved in both residential and commercial developments.  He also serves as an advisor to other developers and consults on specific projects.  Mr. Irwin has previous experience operating a public utility company, a role which he served for 10 years.  His knowledge in real estate will also prove to be invaluable to the Bank going forward.

As you know, banks across the nation are being impacted by economic challenges and changes in regulatory oversight.  While we are also feeling this impact, we are being proactive in making changes in order to enable us to navigate through these challenging times.  The Bank continues to move forward and we seek to positively impact our community through excellent customer service and by our continued involvement in the community through various civic and other organizations. While the Bank is in its fifth year of operation, we actually have 476 years of combined banking experience from our employees and directors.
